Boso Boso Highlands, Antipolo

Family Reunion 2009

At first I thought it would be awkward and all but everything went well. This will probably be the first family reunion since my grand mother passed away a couple of years ago (I think that was way back in 2001 or 2002 or early 2003, I forgot, but it's Feb 25 I know the day coz it's a holiday). Last outing we had was in Hill Spa, Laguna.

Going back, We woke up really early to prepare our stuff (to think that it'll just be a less than 30 minute drive from home). We arrived at around 6:30 - 7:00 am. There were already people walking around checking out the place and the view.

The view is beautiful, you can see mountains but you won't see the pools! It took us 30 minutes or so for us to be able to find what we're looking for. We even climbed down a mountain and climbed up again (Worse ladder climb ever!) to think that I don't exercise, that was the time I realized I really as in really need to do exercise! I thought I wouldn't make it but fortunately I did. I hope they put some signs or banners so that their customers won't get lost in the mountains hehehe.

Lesson # 1: Don't just roam around unfamiliar territories. There's no harm in asking.

So we went back and found the kiddie pool which is like 2 feet high. Super safe for the kids coz Yuna can just walk all by herself without me worrying if she will drown or whatever, but of course, I won't do that.. I stayed right next to her and held her hand all throughout. Naks! SuperMomma!

I wondered where the other pools were. Actually they were just right after the kiddie pool. Go down the stairs and there's another pool. Go down again and you will see the third pool. What I didn't like about it is that the stairs is made up of tiles and it's very slippery! Every now and then you will see people going down then whoopss... some fell and for some.. almost!

Lesson # 2: If you're planning to build a resort on a mountain with so many stairs, say no to tiles!

I went down that scary stairs trying to avoid not to slip or something. We had fun swimming on the second pool (Technically I didn't swim I just stayed in the water walking and all that fake stuff hehe). My sister and cousins played tag and it was crazy and all that. We stayed there until the pool was invaded with strangers.

Lesson # 3: Yeah I know we're trying to keep the pool to ourselves so learn how to share. The pool is not yours anyway.

We went back to the kiddie pool, had some merienda, went again to the kiddie pool until we got tired and all. Hubby gave me his anniversary gift, an FMCC polo shirt (I found out later on that it's not for ladies, the violet one so I had it altered to my size. No wonder XS is super big). My In-Laws also arrived and joined us with our anniversary celebration. I went to the shower room to clean up. Unfortunately I didn't like what I saw. There's no place for you to put your stuff, or hang your clothes. Only one dressing room and it's right infront of the broken shower. Once you open that shower.. water is all over and you need to clean up again.

Lesson # 4: Uhmm.. This will be the first and last time to visit the resort?? Maybe.. Still disatisfied with the wash rooms.

After resting under the trees, we decided to take some pictures. I think this will be our very first family picture.

Note: We're not related to the girl standing on the right side, the one wearing brown t-shirt. She's my cousin's baby sitter. If I knew she was there standing, I should have asked her to take our picture.. (Hehehe naughty jemie!)

Lesson # 5: It's really not with the place but with the people you're with. It will all be worth it if you enjoy every single moment you spend with your loved ones. And that's what we had, what we experienced.

Hope to do this again next year.. =)
