Villa Cristina Resort, Antipolo

Mermaids and Turtles..

Last year, we went to Villa Cristina Resort (or should I say Cristina Villa) in Antipolo City. It was after our annual family outing. We just thought of relaxing somewhere near our place.

Let me try to recall what happened, here's a quick
flashback..

I discovered this resort thru Za, my officemate because they went there I think probably months before we did. She said the place is good (so as what the pictures she posted on Multiply shows, given the fact that her boyfriend Erik is good at taking pictures).

So I suggested why not Cristina Villa?? I researched on the place, browsed the internet and all that. At first I hesitated because I found out that the place was currently under renovation. What if the place is not yet ready?? What if there's tons of construction materials scattered all over the place?? What if, what if, what if?? Enough questions, let's proceed..

And so I continued researching but I wasn't able to get any info whether the renovation is over or what. We took the chance, packed our bags and we went to the place. Talk about being adventurous huh?

Finally we arrived (we're better than boy/girl scouts! if they're always on time, we're always before time). I thought there will be corkage fee coz we brought some bottled softdrinks but the person in charge let us in with no corkage fees (thank you!). We went to the reception area to inquire on cottages (yes we're just a couple of day trippers, it's just near so we can just drive home anytime) the receptionist said we can go ahead and look around the place and if we find the cottage that we want just go back to the reception area and pay for the cottage. Since I'm too lazy to walk around, we stayed in the reception area, too bad there are no seats so we just stood there for a couple of minutes.

So my nanay and tatay walked up and down (we're in Antipolo so expect to be walking in a mountain hehe) and they finally found the cottage we will use which is actually at the very top. We walked to the cottage (and man it's hard!) and prepared our stuff, the food, Yuna's clothes and all that.

I let my nanay and tatay swim first since I'm still tired coming from my shift, I decided to relax first. So I watched all our belongings. It was really hot in the place.

After lunch I decided to swim. It was nice we get to have the pool by ourselves (or maybe because the pool that we're in is not that deep??). There's only a few people in the resort so it's not really stressful. We walked around the place, tried to go to the other pools and we took some pictures. I love the view! You'll get a very good view of the metro. I like the mermaids and turtles! We took some pictures beside it.

There's also a chapel and a cafe inside the resort. A little scary coz no one's inside the cafe and it's a bit dark (or maybe it's just the color of the walls or maybe it was not that sunny when we went there).

After swimming, I went to the shower room and the place was clean! As in! I think that's very important in a resort, A clean shower and dressing room! The only thing is that most of the doors are locked so I tried each one of them just to find an open dressing room.

My picture! I'm like in Paradise!

All in all the place is good. It was very relaxing. An easy getaway if you're in the metro and it's very affordable. Well I hope the spa service is already offered! That'll be nice.. well maybe next time we visit??
