Homecoming

We were supposed to attend our school's 3rd Grand Alumni Homecoming. This is also in celebration of OLPHS' 30th founding anniversary. Tickets were sold at Php 250.00 (which includes buffet meal) and Php 100.00 (which includes 2 drinks of your choice). We decided to just buy the Php 100.00 ticket since we'll just be staying there for a while just to grace the event then we'll go to Alwyn's place for a little get together.

Alwyn and I went to the school at around 7:00 PM. We were supposed to meet Alwyn's batch mates. One of our friends who also paid Php 100.00 went out the school grounds to meet us. We were informed that those who bought Php 100.00 tickets were just given seats without tables. The tables were reserved for those who bought the Php 250.00 worth of tickets. Since our friends were already on those seats with tables, they've mentioned that the hosts announced it and were asking those who paid Php 100.00 to go to their designated seats (just like spectators). A little discriminating especially to those who paid for Php 100.00, not that they can't afford it but Php 250.00 is just not worth the time that they will spend there given that they will only stay for an hour or so.

Anyway, we then decided to go back to Alwyn's house. Note, we didn't pay nor enter the school grounds. We just took the small banner for the Grand Alumni Homecoming event LOL.

For worth Php 100.00, we were able to buy food and drinks that's more than enough for all of us. We also have videoke, and priceless laughs.

Even if we're not able to attend the Alumni Homecoming, we posted this picture on the Facebook group that the hosts created. :)

There was a little debate a week after the homecoming regarding the tables that were not given to those who paid Php 100.00. Some Rogelio who was just recently added by one of the batch hosts just acted like a jerk with the sarcastic and mean comments that he posted (think before you click dude! and check your spelling). Bottom line, he was just acting like Mr-Know-It-All.

I was not supposed to comment on his very long statement however I just noticed that he misspelled one of the words he typed (if you'll be sarcastic or post mean comments, make sure that they're perfect so that it won't bounce back at you). Don't you hate it when people act like they are so good and perfect then you'll notice that they're grammar or spelling is wrong?

I was thinking that it's just a dummy account, why? here are the reasons:

  • Profile picture looks dummy (Just like an action star but the one who's always beaten up by the leading actor)
  • No connections whatsoever. If he's an alumni or if he lives in Santolan, there should be even at least one.
  • No one knows him (I don't know him, even those who went to the school first doesn't know him, probably just the admin who added him)
  • He's not telling us his batch, if he's really an alumni, that's just an easy question.
Then the admin decided to remove the post with all the comments. He then posted not to argue on the page itself... After a few days, that Rogelio guy's no longer part of the group and so was the person who added him. Isn't it weird????

Anyway, there are still room for improvement, and we hope that the next host batch will be able to set up a better homecoming #justathought. :)
