Long Weekend: Feast of Sacrifice

Sunday is family day as always. And since it's going to be a long weekend, plus Yuna's post speech festival victory, we went out for lunch and some playtime.

For lunch we ate in Mang Inasal. An affordable way to eat chicken plus free soup and unlimited rice. As always my order is pecho meal 😁

Here's our group shot! tried to fit everyone in hehehe.

After lunch we went to Austin Land to play. Jenene rode this car first and spent more than 5 tokens just riding this.

Here's the first thing that Jenene rode inside happy city while I watch frozen movie. I let her play for one hour and that costs 150 pesos (that is their weekend and holiday rate).

Then she went to her playhouse and she has it all for herself.

While we were in the happy city, my mother-in-law, hubby and Yuna was playing this game where you'll bet for a character and if thhat character wins the race you'll get tokens (they actually won 210 tokens just playing this game).

Look at Jenene shooting some hoops! I played this game too and the number of shots I made, made me sweat (wooh workout!) 😂😂

All in all we had fun, just a simple and nice way to spend the long weekend.

7th Wedding Anniversary

We had a simple wedding anniversary celebration. No fancy gift giving since we're saving up for the final part of our house.

March 22, I ordered Yellow Cab pizza for merienda. That's my treat for the family since we've always wanted to eat in the newly opened Yellow Cab restaurant near our place. We just had it delivered.

The girls are excited to eat the pizza!!

fries and some buffalo wings...

why have one if you can taste four??

March 23, since the very day of our anniversary, hubby was called for work, the next dayw as his treat. We went to Giligan's for lunch.

Here's my mom-in-law with the girls...

food was great! we were soooo full!

Hoping, well looking forward for more anniversaries to come ❤️👍

Amana Waterpark Resort 2014

Due to the very warm weather that we currently have. My hubby together with some of our friends decided to go to Bulacan for an outing. We were looking for a place that's affordable and the kids will enjoy. With the help of Google, we ended up with Amana Waterpark Resort in Pandi Bulacan.

April 12, we were supposed to travel to bulacan late in the aftenoon, however my hubby came home late from work so we left the house at around 8pm. Anjela's Godfathers were also with us, and we stayed in the house of our friend in Pulilan.

April 13, we woke up late LOL. The original plan of waking up at around 6, we woke up later than that. Plus with all the stop overs, we arrived at Amana at around 10am. good thing we were able to reservea  cottage since there was a lot of people coming in by groups.

There were plenty of pool that's kid friendly coz they're not that deep. A lot of life sized action figures as well. During our stay, since it was Pacquiao and Bradley match, the resort also showed the match live via pay per view for free (other resorts would cost extra for this show). They also have this Marvel-ous program with a lot of cosplayers wearing superhero attires. The minions as wella s spongebob were also there.

Here's our family picture in the wave pool:

What I like about Amana:
- They have plenty of booths that sells food, pretty convinient.
- They have programs that's will really attract your attention.
- Life sized action figures is a plus for the kiddos and pretty cool if you want to go picture taking.
- Pools are kid friendly most of them are not that deep for kids aged 6 yrs old ++

Now on what I don't like:
- Pool is not that clean, with the number of guests that they have, that pretty much explains it all.
- Life guards are not that visible. We went to the batcave and i don't see any life guards. Or maybe they don't have uniform? Not sure.
- Shower rooms. Though they have individual shower rooms which is good, they're not properly maintained. Not clean, not enough trash cana, coz you'll see sanitary napkins around (yeah gross!) some rooms doesn't have racks where you can hang clothes.
- Parking area, well if there's a lot of guests is really far from the entrance, so is the ticketing office, way far from the entrance that you need to go back and forth from thhe parking, to he entrance and walk back passing the parking area then the resort's main entrance. They should've placed the ticketing office just near the resort's enteance, just saying.

But as they all say which is indeed true. it is thhe company that you're with that will make your travel worth while. The kids enjoyed, and so did we. So we're planning for another trip this coming May ☺️

Making the most out of summer ☀️☀️👍

Jenene's First

Jenene just turned 1!! and here's what happened:

Since it's her first birthday we decided to just do a Jollibee party for the following reasons:

1. Her birthday fell on a Monday, so we were expecting guests coming from work or school (or expecting others won't be able to attend) so we need a venue that's accessible to all.
2. Since we're expecting few guests we were saving ourselves from the hassle of preparation and after party cleaning.
3. Based from Anjela's first birthday party, we don't want to tire or stress Jennela out because of very long celebrations.

So with the little help from Jollibee and some suppliers, we pulled it off!

Here's Jennela's party dress bought from Iha. Anjela's dress was also from Iha.

Some of Jennela's accessories:

Initially I would prefer a Barbie party but then during that time that theme was only until August so i chose Hello Kitty theme. (Then I found out that they've extended the Barbie theme, just great!)

Here are the prizes that I bought from Jiestine's shop (Facebook Account). I want something useful so I got the school kits and towels. On the side is the Hello Kitty set from Jollibee (with plate, spoon and fork, cup, and mini towel).

I didn't get to have an OOTD taken but here's one, mom and child OOTD:

My tube dress from Get Laud and sandals from Parisian (just wanted to wear something comfy) and baby's Iha dress.

The party started with a prayer followed by the children's games (I think there were 3 games before they served the food). For the food, we ordered the most expensive package made up of the following:

1. 1 piece chicken joy with rice
2. Spaghetti
3. Regular fries
4. Sundae
5. Softdrinks

Then we've added the following:

1. 1 piece burger steak
2. Regular yum

I got feedbacks saying that the food was plenty but that's better compared to complaints that they're bitin with the food. So everyone got to have their own take home foods.

Of course the party won't be complete without the mascots, I've added Hetty then of course we have Jollibee, here's our family picture with them:

Here are my shoutouts to my suppliers:

Little Cakes for Jennela's cupcake tower:

Jas Partyneeds for the mini balloon pillars, hanging flower balloons and the #1 mini pillar freebie - highly recommended they're affordable and super professional! Check out their Facebook page for samples and details.

Special thanks to Otep for taking our photos and Printscharm photobooth.

Here's the cake blowing photo:

The little girl wanted to make a speech!

Me and little J

Thanks to our family, relatives and friends who attended, celebrated with us and those who also gave gifts, Jennela was extremely happy! You can tell by this photo:

Happy birthday little J! We love you! ☺️

Father's Day 2013

Last Sunday, we celebrated father's day. As a treat for my Tatay and Hubby, we went to Gerry's Grill in SM Marikina after hearing the mass for lunch.

I was soooo full from eating my favorite seafood rice, pork binagoongan, kare-kare, chicken lollipops, fish fillet, grilled tuna belly, spicy tahong plus our dessert, buko pandan, white leche flan and toasted ice cream. Talk about food trip huh?

To all the daddies out there! Work hard! Drink harder! Cheers!

6 Years

Last Friday we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. We went to Tiendesitas for some food, music and laugh. Fat session was the band that night too bad their healthy lead vocalist is sick, she makes okrayan so natural. Good thing there was this super drunk woman, mother of four kids from four different guys who made the night fun (and a little scary).

She was super drunk drinking gin as if she's drinking water. She kept on dancing, pulling people around to dance with her and giving most of their food to us or to people on other tables. She's just a drunk party freak.

Here's our picture:

Vehicular Accident

Last night on ny way to work, the jeepney that I was riding hit a car and turned over..

A lot of people were injured, I was lucky that I only got some bruises though there were blood stains on my shirt, those were not mine.

Thank God for another day, for another life.. Always pray! It keeps us safe.

Thanks too to my family and friends who wished me well

Happy Valentines 2013

So we weren't able to celebrate Valentines day on the day itself. We already talked about this and since I was on leave Friday, we decided to go out for dinner and for a little sound tripping.

Alwyn came home late from work, and when he arrived he gave me this:

Lovely aren't they?
We were thinking if we're going to Eastwood to watch South Border, but since it's late,  we just decided to go to Tiendesitas. The band that night was Fat Session and Class6 (not sure about the spelling, just check out their website for the correct band name and schedule).

Hey look! it's us! :)

Fat Session is a hit! It's like watching in a comedy bar while enjoying food and music. We were laughing all night because of their lines. Class6 also sang a nice set of OPM love songs.

All in all, my night was simply fun and spending it with my family just makes Valentines more meaningful.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Anjela's Advance Birthday Celebration

I've been thinking on how to celebrate Anjela's 5th birthday. Since it's a long weekend (Aug 20 and 21 were declared holiday), I've decided to celebrate it on the 21st since we don't have work that day.

Here's our menu: Lechon, Pancit con Lechon (Bihon) and Spaghetti from Crisgard Fastfood, hotdog with marshmallows, soup made by Tita Mer, Cake bought by Oliver, bananas and ice cream (avocado, cookies and cream and cheese) for dessert.

We didn't invite any special guests, just our family and relatives. We plan on celebrating it again on the 22nd if our schedule permits or if not most probably during the weekend.

Here are some of our pictures:

Advance Happy 5th Birthday Anak!! I LOVE YOU! :)

The Amazing Spiderman

Today we've watched The Amazing Spiderman. Not really sure at first what the difference is with the first Spiderman movie but when we saw it, it's really amazing (well for me) coz there's more story. Not so much on the fight scenes but with Peter Parker's family.

It was a full flashback from his early childhood. Why he grew up with his Aunt and Uncle. Some of the events that happened were different from the first Spidey movie. He just created the webs that are coming out of his palm unlike on the first one wherein it's natural. He's inlove with Gwen and not Mary Jane. When I googled Gwen, I found on a website that she's Peter's first love. Unfortunately she died and then he fell in love with Mary Jane.

I believe there's part 2, and I can't wait to watch it! Emma Stone's sooooo cute!

Here's our picture inside the cinema house:

3D/4D Ultrasound Experience

I'm already on my 7th month and i'm scheduled to have my 3D and 4D ultrasound session. I called last Thursday to check if i'll be able to schedule an appointment however the assistant told me that every Saturday, they're on a first come first served basis.

We went early hoping that i'll be the first customer however I came in second. It's 40-50 minute session so I've waited for like more than an hour for the first preggy mom to finish.

When it was already my turn. The OB checked the baby's condition. She''s healthy and super normal. However when it was time for the doctor to take her pictures and videos, she kept on raising her arms and covering her face. She 's showing her face once in a while but after a few more minutes, she decided to turn her back on us. Another session rescheduled. Here's one of the pictures that I was able to take:

Jennela Nicole on her 7th month :)
I'll go back to Marikina OB Gyne Ultrasound Clinic on July 2nd for another session. :)

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

We went on a movie date for Father's day since Anjela also wants to watch Madagascar 3. She always asks me to watch it every time she sees the billboard of the said movie.

All in all it was fun and very colorful. I love the music they used, Katy Perry's Fireworks. Also the movie won't be complete without the "I like to move it move it" song...

It's a feel good movie. I'd love to watch it over and over again. :)

Next movie to watch: ICE AGE 4

Here's Anjela posing right beside the ad.
And here we are promoting the movie (chos!), Look! I don't look like i'm 6-7 months preggy :) LOL
Circus Afro, Circus Afro, Polka Dot, Polka Dot, Polka Dot Afro... LOL
